As a diehard Sugarfish fanatic, I knew I had to try KazuNori at some point. And just like Sugarfish, I have to say that the sushi at Kazunori is among the best I have ever had. Everything is insanely fresh and incredible quality. So why not five stars? The wait and the price. I love hand rolls, don't get me wrong, but these hand rolls are smaller than other hand rolls you would find at any other sushi bar (think of them as being equivalent to four SMALL pieces of a cut roll each). And while that is not a bad thing, it might not be substantial enough for many people for the price point being charged. Other hand roll bars I have been to, for instance, are at a similar price point but have much larger hand rolls. And be prepared to wait. Because there are no traditional tables, seats open up at random, so seating is tight and might be difficult for groups of more than three or so people.

I was first introduced to KazuNori last month and I've been 4 times since then! I always order the set (6) and either albacore or Salmon sashimi (you can't go wrong with either one). The food is delicious and the fish is fresh! If you order the sets, you can substitute any of them with another hand roll option (just ask the server). The place is small with a shared bar/stool type of seating. There is usually a line but lucky for me I've never had to wait longer than 10 mins. The line moves pretty fast since you are expected to eat your hand roll right away. As you finish one roll, another one is placed in front of you .... And so forth until your order is complete. There is an automatic gratuity added to your bill. All the servers are very nice, helpful and attentive. The parking lot is extremely small. There is street parking (meter) and a parking lot across the street associated with another strip mall, but I've seen people park there as well and walk over. I highly recommend this place..... you will not be disappointed!
